Carvery


香港人平時星期日鐘意同至企人飲早茶


英國人就鐘意食sunday lunch


出街食既,通常會去pub到食carvery


好多時d  local pub都會有兩至三種肉類揀,個個星期都唔同


有豬,牛,羊,雞,火雞,火腿...


佢地會烤咗一大舊肉,你行去counter會有人carve幾塊肉畀你(所以叫carvery!)


之後你就以揀其他野(有少少似自助餐,但大部份餐廳只會畀你攞一次,所以你會見到個個人個碟都係滿晒架!)


攞好晒"餸"就加汁


咩配咩汁都有學問架(係我嚟到英國先知-.-)


對於英國人嚟講,呢d係common sense,但係對於我呢個港女嚟講,呢d野都係要從頭學起!


gravy 即係肉汁,英國人係好鐘意食gravy架!仲要落好多好多添!(gravy好似係百搭既汁咁,咩肉都加得架)


我初初對gravy係無好感,而家食慣咗,每次都會加


除咗gravy, 每種肉類佢地都會配唔同既sauce去既


豬配apple sauce


牛配horseradish


羊配mint jelly


sausage配mustard


火雞配cranberry (聖誕必食)...等等


上圖就係我既roast beef + horseradish (羊先係我至愛,可惜嗰日無!)


唔少得既係roast potato,食親roast一定會食roast potato


好多英國人都鐘意食yorkshire pudding

,仲要加好多gravy喺裡面咁食


我就唔好好,所以無攞


其次既就係唔同既veg


甘荀(carrot),西蘭花(broccoli)都係走唔甩架啦


芝士椰菜花(cauliflower cheese)喺呢到好普遍,連細個唔鐘意食椰菜花既我都愛上!


呢到仲有好幾種地道既veg喺hk係好少有得賣/直頭無得賣添


parsnips, turnips, sweden 同courgette...


差d唔記得,仲有stuffing呀!你見我相薯仔下面嗰兩pat野就係啦(我唔太鐘意食,所以只係攞咗少少)


呢d野真要同英國人一齊住落先知咁多呢d咁多野呢!


除咗知...仲要識煮


我而家都要成日煮呢d野畀屋企人食架!


mmm...下次講下喺屋企住既sunday roast係點架啦:)
