英國大部份嘅學校都係用JOLLY PHONICS嘅
有人問我LETTERLAND定係JOLLY PHONICS...其實都無所謂嘅
只不過老公話LETTERLAND比較七十年代，英國嘅學校都改用JOLLY PHONICES架啦！

英國嘅學校教小朋友英文嘅方法係咁～
佢地主要係用JOLLY PHONICS，FLASH CARDS同故事書
小朋友由開學開始會睇書。呢到D小朋友真係睇好多書架！一星期換書三次，每次兩本。一本係OXFORD READING TREE嘅書，另一本係小朋友自己揀嘅，由大人讀。開學時OXFORD READING TREE嘅書都只有圖畫，小朋友要用佢地嘅想像力同自己嘅言語講個故事出嚟。到佢地用FLASH CARDS認到15個字後，就可以開始睇有字嘅OXFORD READING TREE嘅書（當然係得幾句嗰D）。
PHONICS樓上講咗，所以而家我會講下FLASH CARDS
FLASH CARDS，由三張咭教起，每次加幾個字。
當佢地認到晒後，就可以加字
加咩字？我會喺到同大家分享！因為學校有次序咁畀學生學生字架！相信咁會有效D！
FLASH CARD嘅字係好基本我地會常用嘅字，小朋友會成日見到。識咗呢D基本字，睇書會易好多:)

即係應用吾到phonics 嘅法則架！

你讀一次,佢讀一次
重覆幾次,好快就記到
影曦學校每星期會同佢測一次字，要佢識晒所有字先會加字
錯一個都吾會加字畀佢學架！
大家都要有耐性Ｄ咁慢慢教小朋友呀:)

I taught my girls jolly phonics as young as 1.5yr. But flash card...realisticly speaking, use them when they can talk properly(1.5yr+).
Francesca started using flash cards not long ago.(when she was 4.5yr) I am not pushing her. She will do it in her own time:)

watch english tv. Playhouse disney and Cbeebies are quite good. That's a programme called "word world" on playhouse disney is quite good. It teaches children phonics as well! You can buy Word world on vcd and dvd too! I strongly recommend!
Francesca's old school in HK taught her ABC as well as "ar, ba, ca" (sound of ABC). She doesn't mix them up:) even if them do, they will get it right very soon~don't worry!
Speak in English to your child. Please be aware your pronouciation and gramma. Children may pick up the accent and wrong gramma! x

[版主回覆12/05/2010 07:30:00]sorry, I don't know anything about synthetic phonics. I sure my husband knows but he's not around:( I guess as long as it's phonics, it's still good~ it doesn't really matter which one they use:)

"This is begun once the students are able to recognize the 42 sounds and are able to blend the sounds into simple words. A list of sight words (high frequency words) are introduced, as these are not phonetic and must be memorized to increase reading fluency."

Yennie, 妳好! 我一直都有看妳的blog. 我覺得妳很利害. 可以照顧得三位囡囡咁好. 我有些關於phonic 的問題想請教妳. 本人有一位2.5 years old 的女兒. 現想給她學phonic. 我知道市面上有jolly phonic及letterland. 我朋友對我說 : jolly phonic是美國的, letterland是英國的. 她說letterland 較為好. 同埋我都上網 search 了家長的common. 有些家長說, letterland 較jolly phonic為好. 因為當letterland掌握到後. 老師會教國際音標. 所以我本來都打算給女兒學letterland. 但當我看了妳的blog 後. 使我卻步. 因為又與之前理解的不一樣. 妳可否給我一些建議? 謝謝! I don't know anything about Letterland so I can't tell you which I think is better. Most of the schools here use jolly phonics, that's all I can say. I asked my husband about 國際音標b4, he said there's not much point to learn - you can't always check on the dictionary and read the 國際音標 of the words, can you?
My husband also said it doesn't matter which one you use (Letterland or Jolly phonics), just stick with it! Kids will pick that up very quickly!:)
By the way, my huaband's teaching phonics in a tutor centre in Cheung Sha Wan. Will give you details if you are interested! He's got quite good commends:)

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about how to teach English in a bilingual family. I'm going to teach my boy sign language, I assume I will do the sign and speak in Eglish at the same time, will baby be confused in learning 3 languages, if I and other family members speak in Cantonese to each other. I know some families will be English only at home, but I don't think it is good and work in my family when grannies speak to him in Cantonese. Any suggestion?

影曦同靖翹都係主要講英文...係我一手造成既!
嗰時住喺英國,得我一個講中文,但又同6299住,講中文好似好無禮貌咁...久而久之,變到我只係同d女講英文.於是對住兩個女講英文變咗我既習慣,好難改!我而家都努力改緊我既壞習慣,希望d女學多d中文!
我有個sis in law佢係英國人,丈夫係surbian.佢先生就只係同個女講surbian,佢就同個女講英文.佢對住佢地會自動轉台.我覺得呢個方法幾好,你可以一試
手語對bb嚟講我覺得唔算係另一種語言.佢地鐘意做手勢,你一路講,佢一路做~係好好既加深字既記憶既方法:)
我覺得JOLLY PHONICS比較適合外國的小朋友但不太適合本地的小朋友呢，同埋我覺得JOLLY D 動作有時好難同個音聯繫，香港D幼稚園而家多用LETTERLAND，但我都係覺得D字太深唔適合香港小朋友
