每年一踏入十一月，英國各大小街店鋪都會有呢種poppy 賣
十一月十一日係英國嘅戰爭紀念日
好多英聯邦國家都會有悼念儀式
點解係十一月十一日呢？
話說喺1918年11月11日11時，德國正式簽薯投降
為咗記念喺第一次世界大戰中為國捐驅嘅烈士，佢地就定呢一日為戰爭紀念日
咁點又會用poppy呢種花呢？
話說世界大戰時John McCrae目睹自己朋友點死，跟住就寫咗呢首詩...第一段係咁嘅...

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
 In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

經濟，社會，心理經濟，社會，心理支持當兵人士啲屋企經濟，社會，心理

喺某一戰場上，有好多戰士死咗，被埋喺嗰到...第一樣生出嚟嘅，就係poppy！
佢鮮艷嘅紅色亦令人聯想起當年戰士所流嘅血
自始，眾人就開始用poppy嚟悼念戰爭中犧牲嘅烈士（唔單只係WWI, WWII,係所有戰爭中離世嘅人都會紀念）

上圖嗰朵假嘅poppy，係畀我地扣喺件衫到㗎
有啲人會扣喺車頭等等，以作紀念
呢啲假poppy係由 The Royal British Legion 同Haig Fund　呢兩個機構賣嘅，籌到嘅錢會喺經濟上、心理上支持當兵人士／退役嘅屋企人
教會市會喺十一月第二個星期日舉行Remembrance Service，當日周圍都會有掉念活動。夜晚都會有晚會，電視台都會播添㗎！

而呢兩年都新興咗呢種十字架，等人可以寫低啲訊息
都好有意義㗎！
